Our Team

Ashryn

Founder, Clinical Psychologist

  • I'm a Clinical Psychologist with over 9 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and young people across a range of psychological and life challenges. I’m passionate about creating a safe, compassionate space where people feel seen, heard, respected, and supported in their journey toward greater wellbeing.

I am the proud Co-Founder of Seen Psychology. In building Seen, my vision was to create accessible, high-quality mental health support in a space that feels welcoming rather than clinical. I believe therapy should be a place where individuals can openly share their concerns without feeling judged or as though something is “wrong” with them.

Together, Sierra and I are committed to delivering evidence-based interventions within a compassionate and supportive environment. Our hope is that every person who walks through our doors feels genuinely heard, understood, and seen.

I work with clients experiencing difficulties such as depression, anxiety, personality vulnerabilities, eating and body image concerns, and relationship or identity struggles. I’m also deeply attuned to the quieter, yet equally painful, experiences of life—feelings of loneliness, pressure, low self-worth, and stress in relationships.

My therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), with a strong foundation in attachment theory. EFT is incredibly effective in couples therapy, which is an area of speciality for me - but at the heart of my work is a client-centred philosophy—I believe in working alongside you, at your pace, with warmth and authenticity.

Outside of work, I find balance by spending time at the beach, spending time with my close people, and being in nature—practices that help me stay grounded, present, and energised, both personally and professionally.

Sierra

Founder, Registered Psychologist
  • I’m a Registered Psychologist with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, currently completing my clinical endorsement and Co-Founder of Seen Psychology.

Seen was created from a simple belief: mental health support shouldn’t feel clinical, intimidating, or stigmatised. Therapy can simply be something you do — a space to slow down, reflect, and better understand yourself and your relationships.

My work has spanned community organisations, neurodivergent play-based therapy, private practice, and an Aboriginal Medical Service. These experiences shape how I approach therapy — relational, flexible, culturally aware, and grounded in evidence.

I work with adolescents and adults navigating relationships, dating, neurodiversity, trauma, and patterns that can show up in connection with others and ourselves. I’m particularly interested in attachment-based therapy and supporting people to recognise and shift patterns such as overthinking, people-pleasing, emotional intensity, or feeling unsure in relationships.

My approach integrates evidence-based therapies including CBT, ACT, attachment-informed work, and trauma-informed care. Sessions are collaborative and down-to-earth — you don’t need a perfectly packaged problem to begin.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me at the beach, in the sun, or spending time with the people who keep me grounded.
